Our Mission
Most "alternative data" today is either prohibitively expensive ($250k+ annual minimums), opaque (vendors won't show you their backtest methodology), or both. The result: a small handful of multi-billion-dollar funds get an information edge, while everyone else pays for sentiment dashboards that don't move.
We're closing that gap. NEXUS Alpha makes a single, transparent, walk-forward-validated signal available at price points starting at $5,000/month — with no annual commitment, full methodology disclosure, and a paper-track record that's database-immutable from the second a signal is generated.
Why We're Different
1. Methodology is public
We publish exactly how the model works, why we cap confidence at 0.75, and why we use FinBERT specifically. See /methodology.
2. The track record is immutable
Every signal is written to a Postgres table with a server-side timestamp. No retroactive edits. No cherry-picking. Auditable by any client with their own database access.
3. Out-of-sample data is locked
2025 calendar year is sealed from the model. We'll backtest on it blind at year-end. Git commit proves the lock date. See OOS strategy doc.
4. Crisis-tested across 4 historical regimes
Average Sharpe 1.088 across 2008 (financial crisis), 2020 (COVID), 2001–2002 (dot-com), and 2022–2025 live. Not just a 3-year bull-market backtest.

NEXUS Alpha is built and operated by a small team of quant researchers and engineers with backgrounds in systematic trading, NLP, and infrastructure. We've intentionally kept the team lean and the product focused — no consultants, no growth hackers, no salespeople. Every line of code, every signal generated, and every customer interaction goes through the founders.

SOC 2 Type I in progress. We're undertaking independent third-party audit (target: Q3 2026) to formally certify our data governance, access controls, and processing integrity. Audit documents will be available on request to enterprise clients.
